You can grow your own crystals at home. The following is an experiment you might like to try, but be sure to get your parents to help you out!
Grow Your Own Crystals:
You will need the following:

A dish (a clear glass bowl is best)

Two cups of hot water

1/2 cup of Epsom salt

A spoon
-
Charcoal briquettes
-
Food coloring (if you wish)
Pour the hot water into the dish. Add the Epsom Salts and stir for 3 minutes. Place the dish in a place where you can watch it but where you won't have to move it for 5 days. Now put 2 or 3 charcoal briquettes in the solution in the dish and watch the crystals grow. Putting drops of food coloring on the charcoal will add color to the crystals.
