GROW YOUR OWN CRYSTALS

You can grow your own crystals at home. The following is an experiment you might like to try!

Grow Your Own Crystals:

You will need the following:

• A dish (a clear glass bowl is best)

• Two cups of hot water

• 1/2 cup of Epsom salt

• A spoon

• Charcoal briquettes

• Food coloring (if you wish)

Pour the hot water into the dish. Add the Epsom Salts and stir for 3 minutes. Place the dish in a place where you can watch it but where you won't have to move it for 5 days. Now put 2 or 3 charcoal briquettes in the solution in the dish and watch the crystals grow. Putting drops of food coloring on the charcoal will add color to the crystals.
